Sylvia S. Charpilloz has over sixteen years of experience in commercial real estate law. During her career she has focused primarily on commercial leasing, acquisitions, sales and mortgage financing.
Ms. Charpilloz has represented many leading nationally recognized retailers in negotiating leases, subleases, assignments of leases and multi-store acquisitions from companies in bankruptcy. She has also represented tenants throughout the country in sophisticated negotiation of office and restaurant leases. Her commercial leasing experience covers a wide range of property types including enclosed regional malls, neighborhood shopping centers, free standing stores, office buildings, hotels and industrial sites.
In addition to handling pure leasing matters, Ms Charpilloz has designed settlements to resolve lease disputes and has advised clients on matters involving store management, employment practices, brokerage agreements, construction, insurance requirements and lease administration. Ms. Charpilloz was formerly a senior real estate attorney with the New York City law firm of Shack Siegel Katz and Flaherty, P.C., where she was responsible for the real estate aspect of complex, multi million merger and assets/stock sales transactions.
Sylvia is fluent in French and has been trained as a lawyer in France as well as in the United States.
