Rob Kipness, principal and manager of the practice, has 30 years of experience in the retail estate industry, including 20 years as a real estate attorney. During his career, Rob has been employed as both a lawyer and a leasing executive. He began his legal career at the Wall Street firm of Gould & Wilkie LLP where he represented many well-known national retailers, as well as shopping mall and office-building landlords. In 2000, Rob formed his own firm and has since concentrated on the leasing, development, acquisition, financing and disposition of real estate throughout the United States.
In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Kipness was employed as a senior leasing executive for some of the most prominent retail real estate developers in the country, including Corporate Property Investors (CPI) and Simon Property Group. His many years on the business side of the industry gives him a comprehensive knowledge that extends beyond legal leasing and promotes projects moving towards successful outcomes.
Rob is a former CT state champion long jumper and sprinter. While at the University of Pennsylvania he earned All-Ivy honors and was a HEPS champion in the 4X100 meter relay.
